Two thousand two three is here. It is customary to look back on the past year 2022. It is destined to be an extraordinary year. The three-year battle suddenly took a U-turn before the New Year, making life in the next two or three years full of uncertainty. The past year has been a dull year for career change. The main identity changes and returns to the family. Raising the kids, feeding the dogs, and tidying up the house. Be willing to be ordinary…
Equipment
I bought a Macbook Pro 14 and Apple Watch S7 at the end of the year. Returning to the Apple ecosystem. It’s mainly a matter of habit. Changing to Win+android is always a bit awkward, and there are all kinds of little problems that stick in your throat.
The shooting equipment is now FX3+a7m4, with two additional fixed focal lengths, Sony’s 35mm1.8 and Sigma 85mm1.4. I have always wanted to buy a Sony 24240 for fx3. Although it is not expensive, I hesitate to wait until there is a need for the project.
As for other equipment, I added a Godox 860 third-generation flash and a monopod.
What I regret most this year is that I released the a7c for fx3. Let’s wait and see if there will be an a7c2 this year. Must enter if necessary.
Skills
The main skill I have improved this year is cooking. With the help of the Kitchen app, my skills have improved by leaps and bounds. And now there are actually a lot of prepared foods that, with a little processing, don’t taste much different from the ones in the store.
I am continuing to learn still photography, and am particularly interested in photographing children (so-called family photography). It was also because of this that I bought the 35. The old 55’s focusing distance was too far recently. I am also becoming more proficient in using LR. With several LUTs of my own style, the workflow of mobile phone and camera LR has also been fixed. Consumerism kills people, grow grass GR3x.
For video, I switched to Da Vinci editing, which is indeed very powerful. I only scratched the surface and will continue this year. I have to say that although the win system has various problems, the stability and applicability of the editing software is much better than that of mac. Cross-platform editing Da Vinci is easier to use than PR, and the Adobe subscription is really fascinating.
New Year
Filming, taking care of the kids, and tidying up the house May your family be healthy, safe and happy, and everything goes well
